Jeff Cadieux on PMI-CPMAI™ at PMI® Silicon Valley's 2026 Symposium

Gantt Academy founder and instructor Jeff Cadieux spoke to 170 project managers about the value of PMI® certification in general, and the PMI-CPMAI™ credential in particular, at the PMI Silicon Valley Chapter’s 2026 Annual Symposium on October 2. Gantt Academy sponsored this year’s event.

This year’s theme was Lead the Shift: Adaptive PM in the Age of AI, and the hallway conversations matched it. Attendees wanted to know what AI changes about running a project, what it doesn’t, and which credential proves they can do it.

“I took my PMP® certification prep with this chapter back in 2013. So it’s a joy to come full circle and speak here today,” said Jeff. “AI will dramatically change the way PMOs gather and structure project data. In the future, a PMO’s value will be measured by the quality of their project data. The CPMAI’s emphasis on data is evidence of that.”

PMI-CPMAI prep classes start in December

The PMI Certified Professional in Managing AI (PMI-CPMAI)™ is PMI’s credential for leading AI and data projects that deliver. Gantt Academy’s PMI-CPMAI exam prep classes begin in December 2026, online and in person in San Francisco and Santa Clara.
